Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Placr platform, website, and related services provided by Placr Ltd. Please read these terms carefully before using our services.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Placr platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are using Placr on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these terms. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not access or use the platform.
2. Description of Service
Placr provides an AI-powered recruitment platform that includes candidate management, AI matching, client portals, analytics, and related tools for recruitment agencies. The service is provided as a hosted software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service with 90 days advance notice to active subscribers.
3. Account Registration
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms or that pose a security risk.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Placr only for lawful recruitment purposes. You may not use the platform to discriminate against candidates on the basis of protected characteristics, store or transmit malicious code, attempt to access other users' data without authorization, or reverse-engineer any part of the platform. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of AI-generated content complies with applicable employment laws in your jurisdiction.
5. Data Ownership
You retain ownership of all data you upload to or create within Placr, including candidate records, job descriptions, and client information. We do not claim ownership of your data. We use your data solely to provide and improve the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You may export your data at any time in standard formats.
6. AI Features
Placr uses artificial intelligence to provide features such as candidate matching, CV parsing, and automated summaries. AI-generated outputs are provided as suggestions to assist human decision-making and should not be the sole basis for hiring decisions. We make no guarantees about the accuracy or completeness of AI-generated content. You are responsible for reviewing all AI outputs before taking action.
7. Payment Terms
Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis as selected during signup. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as specified in your subscription agreement. We may change pricing with 60 days written notice. If you do not accept a price change, you may cancel your subscription before the new pricing takes effect.
8. Service Level
We target 99.9% uptime for the Placr platform, measured monthly. Scheduled maintenance windows are communicated at least 48 hours in advance and are excluded from uptime calculations. Enterprise customers receive a formal SLA with defined remedies for downtime. Standard support is available via email with a 24-hour response time during business days.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Placr's total liability for any claims arising from your use of the platform is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
10. Termination
Either party may terminate the subscription with 30 days written notice. Upon termination, your access to the platform will end at the close of your current billing period. Your data remains accessible in read-only mode for 90 days after termination, during which you may export it. After 90 days, all data is permanently and irrecoverably deleted.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. The current version of these terms is always available at this URL.
