Recruitment that moves
faster
Vincere was built for agencies and did many things right. But since the Access Group acquisition, development has slowed and the interface hasn't kept pace. Here's how Placr compares today.
Placr vs Vincere
Vincere is a recruitment CRM and ATS that gained traction with agencies for its all-in-one approach combining recruitment, sales, and operations. It was acquired by the Access Group in 2022. While it remains functional, many agencies report sluggish performance, a stagnating feature set, and declining support responsiveness.
Noticeable lag on most pages, especially with large databases. Multiple clicks required for common tasks.
Sub-second page loads. Built with modern React architecture for instant navigation and real-time updates.
Basic keyword and boolean search. Limited AI capabilities focused on simple parsing.
Semantic AI matching that understands context, not just keywords. Candidates are scored against roles with explainable reasoning.
Login-required candidate portal with a dated mobile experience. Higher drop-off rates.
Magic-link access, mobile-first design, 2-minute application flow. No account or password required.
Client portal available but requires account setup. Less polished experience.
Branded, magic-link portals where clients review candidates and give feedback with one click.
Development pace slowed post-acquisition. Feature requests take longer to materialize.
Active, transparent development with regular feature releases. Built by recruiters and engineers working together.
Traditional boolean and keyword search. Requires learning specific search syntax.
Search your database the way you think. 'Senior React developer in London, fintech experience' returns ranked results.
Reporting available but requires significant manual configuration. Some reports are slow to generate.
Real-time dashboards with revenue forecasting, pipeline analytics, and team performance metrics built in.
Established onboarding process, though timelines can vary depending on support availability.
Dedicated migration specialist. Most agencies are live in 2 weeks with full data transfer.
“We loved Vincere when we first adopted it, but over the past two years the interface felt increasingly sluggish and support tickets took weeks to resolve. Placr gave us the speed and modern experience we'd been asking Vincere for.”

When Vincere is the better choice
Vincere might still be the right choice if you're deeply integrated into the Access Group ecosystem and use multiple Access products. It also has a longer track record with specific compliance and back-office integrations for the UK market. If your team is resistant to change and the current setup is working well enough, the cost of migration may not be justified.
We export every record from Vincere, including candidates, contacts, companies, roles, placements, notes, and attachments. Our team handles the field mapping and deduplication. Most agencies are fully live within 2 weeks with zero downtime.
